A Pediatric Dentist is a dental specialist dedicated to the oral health of children, adolescents, teens, and any individual (young or old) with special needs. We understand the developing child and monitor facial growth and development closely. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as the medically and the physically compromised.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child’s first visit to the dentist should occur by 12 months of age. This visit will enable Dr. Brown to evaluate your child and introduce you to proper oral hygiene. Diet, fluoride, finger and pacifier habits and tooth eruption will also be discussed to ensure optimal dental health.

What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?

When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentist’s or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescence and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.
